He won the Italian Jr. Welterweight championship in his 13th pro bout on May 30, 1997, decisioning Francesco Cioffi (W 12) and successfully defened the Italian title twice.

Branco captured the European crown in June, 2001, when he defeated Gabriel Mapouka (W 12) and successfully defended this title twice. His second title defense was an impressive 10-round stoppage over former IBF #1 ranked jr. welterweight contender allan Vester in March 2002 (TKO 10). With the exception of his European title winning effort in June 2002 in Massy, France, Branco has not fought a pro contest outside of Italy.

In his last bout in November 2002, Branco decisioned Michel Raynaud (W 6 ). He has stopped seven opponents within the first three rounds.
