You can't let your guard down in a boxing ring. Especially if the guy across from you is Floyd Mayweather. Victor Ortiz learned this lesson the hard way, paying the price for dropping his hands as Mayweather landed a perfectly legal, if not entirely gentlemanly, two-punch combination to produce a sensational, controversial fourth-round knockout.
Mayweather's actions were 100% legal. Between the bell's it's every boxer's responsibility to protect himself, and Ortiz has only himself to blame, particularly to allow the second punch to land. So this goes into the books as a fourth-round knockout and one that the sports world will continue buzzing about for some time to come.
